Barry Renninger:
Barry has over 20 years of experience in food processing operations,
finance, quality assurance, food safety, and sales and account
management. Barry held executive-level positions, including Chief
Operating Officer of American Foodservice (AFS), one of the largest
privately-owned domestic ground beef manufacturers.
At AFS Barry developed plant specific metrics, operational incentive
programs, and food safety procedures and policies. Also, Barry
negotiated and created a joint venture in the retail ground beef
packaging business, which grew to $100 million in sales within four
years. Barry also led the site selection and Greenfield start-up of
a newly constructed 85,000 square foot ground beef processing.
Barry was the principal contact in negotiating the sale of American
Foodservice to a major private equity firm.
Early in his career, Barry was an Ernst & Young Partner, focusing on
providing services to food processors including, Keystone Foods,
Cal-Maine Foods (a major egg producer), and National Sugar Refining
Company.
Barry holds an undergraduate accounting degree from Elizabethtown
College. He is also a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management
Program and the Wharton Advanced Industrial Marketing Program.
Barry resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife Amy. They
have raised five daughters and now proudly have six grandchildren.
Barry has been very active in the local girls soccer organization
and has coached two different travel teams for over 15 years.
